An international happening like none other

October 22, 2011

We are asking believers from all over the world to gather in groups of 2's or 3's

in their homes, at churches, businesses, and public places to read the Word to each other OUTLOUD.

"Then God said..."

Although there is infinite power in the Word, nothing manifested until God SPOKE the universe into existence. Actually, there are probably more references to God "speaking" in the Bible than to any other act. (And by the way, "hearing" probably comes  a close second.) But as Christians, although we read and study the Word, we hardly ever speak it. And when we do, it is usually as part of a religious observance where we almost chant reverentially, or we recite Bible verses like homilies, or "preach" the Word to others. But rarely, if ever, do we simply "tell" the Good News of the Bible to anyone else.

The "Read The Bible Out Loud" project hopes to change all that.

father reading out loud to his daughterEvery parent knows what it's like to read to his child, or have his child read to him. There's a kind of intimacy and sense of wonderment that can't be duplicated in any other activity. We believe speaking God's Word out loud to someone close to us in a setting that's free from our normal constraints and preconceptions will seat us firmly in Abba Father's lap, where we can bask in the joy of "sonship" that He created just for us.

Adding your voice can help change the world.

God said if we spoke his Word, it would not return void. Imagine for a moment what it would be like if people all over the world spoke his Word... out loud... all at the same time? How heaven itself would sing!

And that is our goal, our objective, our sole purpose... to get people from all over the world speaking the Word of God to each other, all at the same time. Wouldn't that be music to God's ears!

    The time has come...

Christianity has probably never faced so perilous a time, especially in this country. Imagine not being able to pray or read the Word except at church or in the privacy of our home. (And maybe not even there, if certain factions get their way.) The writing is on the wall, and we can't afford to bury our heads in the sand any longer.

Just recently a man in Hemet, CA was arrested for reading scripture in public. Others have lost jobs after being "caught" praying at work. And our "public" school system now forbids reading any part of the Bible out loud during school, while "alternate lifestyles" are being force-fed to our children in mandatory classes. The very fabric of our faith and our nation is at stake, and it's about time we did something about it.

   A call to arms...

Read the Bible Out Loud is a call to all believers everywhere to affirm their faith and to proclaim to all the world the Judeo-Christian heritage of this and other great nations. It is an attempt to reclaim the intimacy we have lost in our personal relationship to God, and to affirm our place as His children.
